It's Long Past Time: Trump's War in Iran Needs to End

Today marks 7 months of President Trump’s illegal war with Iran.

7 months of chaos and rising costs.

But while the President now promises that the war will continue at least until after the November election, myself and other Senate Democrats are continuing to push the Senate to take action, assert its Constitutional powers, and end this war for good.

Last week, we again had a chance to do that by forcing a vote on another measure making it clear that Congress has not authorized this war. But again, Senate Republicans stood with the President on the side of rising gas prices and continued risk to our servicemembers. I went to the Senate floor to highlight the stories of some of those servicemembers – California constituents and their families who have shared details of the abysmal conditions onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.
